24/04/2020

IT Governance, the leading provider of cyber security and data privacy risk management solutions, has released a cyber security staff awareness online training course to help improve cyber security awareness aimed at IT support staff.

The course is ideal for IT support teams in smaller organisations, or entry-level support staff who are new to the world of cyber security.

Alan Calder, founder of IT Governance, said: “Cyber security is a growing field, and the risks of a data breach due to a cyber attack is an ongoing threat to any business, regardless of its size. We’ve developed this course specifically to improve cyber security awareness levels among IT support teams to enable them to identify risks and take the appropriate action to mitigate them in a timely manner.”

The course provides a complete introduction to cyber security risk awareness and is delivered completely online. Comprising 4 hours of learning over 17 cyber security modules, it covers the most common attacks and how to protect and defend your organisation.

Topics include the threat landscape and the impact of cyber attacks, the ‘weakest link’ concept, the signs of a phishing attack, the significance of passwords, social media and cyber security risks, the cyber security implications of remote working, Cloud security and supply chain security, BYOD (bring your own device) in the workplace, malware risks and mobile device threats.
